Jeffrey Sandusky, son of Jerry Sandusky, pleads guilty to child sex crimes

Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Jeffrey Sandusky pleaded guilty in Pennsylvania court on Friday to attempting to persuade two teenage sisters into sexual acts.

Sandusky, the 41-year-old adopted son of convicted child-sex abuser and former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, pleaded guilty to all charges, including 12 felonies, a week before his trial was set to begin, PennLive reported.

"This outcome also ensures the victims need not suffer the trauma and re-victimization of testifying at trial and importantly, the defendant will have to comply with strict sex offender registration requirements for the remainder of his life. We are happy that these girls can move forward and experience a life with adults that deserve their trust," Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller said.

Sandusky was charged with soliciting nude photos and oral sex from the daughters of his then-girlfriend, who were 15 and 16 years old at the time, the {link:Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Sandusky demanded the 16-year-old send him nude photos via text message in 2016 and later instructed her to delete the text exchange and not tell anyone. In 2013 he also solicited oral sex from the teen's older sister, who was 15 at the time.

Pennsylvania State Police began investigating the case after the younger sister reported the conduct to her parents and her father discovered text exchanges from Sandusky asking for nude photos.

Under his plea agreement, Sandusky faces a minimum of three to six years in prison, but prosecutors will request he serve between four and eight years. Sandusky will also have to register as the highest tier of sex offender in the state.
