Poetry Live will host a seasonal poetry gathering, “Season of Words, Spring Speaks,” starting at 6:30 p.m. March 15 at Salida SteamPlant Annex, 220 W. Sackett Ave.
The event will feature Colorado Book Award winner Peter Anderson of Crestone, award-winning poet and Kelsay Books author Lynda Larocca of Salida and Salida poet Michael Fox, a press release stated.
Live music will be provided by Chapman stick artist David Tipton.
The featured readers will be followed by an open mic session, limited to one page, one poem per poet. Open mic sign-up will start at 6:15 p.m.
A book table with books for sale by the featured poets will be available. A cash bar will be provided by the SteamPlant.
Admission is free, and all are welcome. Donations will be accepted to support future poetry events.
