Bridge lighting honors Central Illinois nurses

PEORIA (25News Now) - Red and white lights on the Murray Baker Bridge shined a spotlight Monday night on the passion and dedication of nurses, and their key role in providing care.

Carle Health hosted a celebration for its nurses on the Peoria Riverfront between Martini’s and Eckwood Park.

25News photojournalist Kyle Vincent used a drone to capture a spectacular photo high above the bridge.

State Sen. David Koehler (D-Peoria) and East Peoria Mayor John Kahl were among the dignitaries attending the event.

It’s Nurses Week from now until Sunday, May 12.
